TAT launches debut album Open to the New Shades
Jan 22, 2018
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has highlighted the essence of Amazing Thailand inspired by its new communication concept, ‘Open to the New Shades’, with the release of its debut album at a mini concert held on yesterday (20 January) as part of the five-day Thailand Tourism Festival 2018.
Produced by Koh Mr.SaxMan and the Sound of Siam, and performed by 20 musicians worldwide, the ‘Open to the New Shades’ album comprises 13 songs that reflect the artists’ impressions on the kingdom as a melting pot of history, culture and unique ways of life.
Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, TAT Governor, said: “Music is a universal language. Through these 13 beautiful songs, visitors from around the world regardless of culture or previous experience, will feel the artists’ impression on Thailand’s amazing attractions, food and ways of life, and will want to explore further.”
The concept of Open to the New Shades reflects another kind of “Thainess”, which is the unique characteristic of the Thai people to welcome visitors from around the world. It will encourage visitors to discover new perspectives in existing attractions, or indulge in experiences in new tourist attractions. TAT has sub-themes reflecting this; such as, Gastronomy, Nature and Beach, Arts and Crafts, Culture, and Way of Life.
