Seoul Tourism Awards 2008

During a ceremony at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul, Korea on June 27th, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon recognised several PATA members as recipients of the 'Seoul Tourism Awards 2008'.

The Grand Prix went to H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, for ' best contribution to city tourism in Asia Pacific'. Mr Peter de Jong, President and CEO of PATA received the Special Award for 'contributions to tourism development in Asia Pacific, including urban tourism'.


 Long-time PATA stalwart and Board member Mr Jae Pil Sho received the prestigious Media Award. 'Best Tourism Policy Awards' went to the Hong Kong Tourism Board and the Macau Government Tourist Office.
