Now in its seventh year, the EIBTM Association programme continues to provide highly targeted professional education and networking for Association Executives involved in the planning of meetings and events.
This year the programme kicks off, on Tuesday 2 December at 14.30, with a keynote address – ‘Leadership Challenges within International Associations’ - by well-known leadership methodologist Paul Bridle.
Having spent nearly two decades researching leadership, Paul is well placed to comment on how leadership is evolving and how it will affect the meeting and incentives industry in coming years.
Commenting on his involvement at EIBTM Paul says: “Having travelled extensively around the world and worked with many different people in varied businesses, I will be outlining my very personal perspective on how the business world is developing and key issues that will impact directly on the meetings and incentive industry.”
The comprehensive programme, running over the three days of the event, includes educational workshops and practical sessions moderated by leading organisations such as PCMA, the AMC Institute and Congrex. Further sessions will be added over the coming months.
The ever-popular Networking Cava reception and EIBTM Welcome Reception, on the opening day, gives attendees the opportunity to share experiences in an informal, yet business like environment.
The highlight of the programme on Wednesday 3 December, after a Networking Breakfast, is the ‘Great Association Debate’ to be moderated by a panel of association experts. A new EIBTM initiative, delegates will have the opportunity to drive the discussion by suggesting topics on a board the previous day. With an afternoon of Pre Scheduled Appointments and time to visit the event, the day rounds off with a Networking evening in association with EIBTM and ICCA.
Commenting on the Association Programme, which is one of the cornerstones of EIBTM, Exhibition Director Mandy Torrens said: “As always we have organised a diverse and challenging educational schedule of events that will benefit all delegates and help drive their businesses in 2009.”
With Hosted Buyer registration now open, all those selecting ‘Association’ as their company activity will be given the option to attend the programme, which will take place in the Conference Centre alongside the exhibition.
